Gay friendly animated feature?

Cute, but I never expected this. A movie trailer never gives you enough to go on, it's just an enticement, but then I guess that's the point.

That looks beautiful. Small animated features are rare these days -- this one, The Boxtrolls, is from Focus Features (Fox), which I think just went under earlier this year (or at least has cut way back). I hope the film gets a good release and lives up to the trailer, because it's a terrific idea, based on Alan Snow's book Here Be Monsters.

Read a posting that says the Right Wingnuts are up in arms about the trailer and Universal Studios is attempting to remove all traces of it on YouTube and elsewhere. Good luck with that, Universal. The internet is eternal and there are copies on hundreds of website blogs.

This animated feature is from the makers of Paranorman, and as I recall there was a gay character in that one. Brave little cartoons, bravo!
