Blues icon, B.B. King has died at age 89. There will never be another like him.

I spend three nights with him when he toured back in the early 70's and a kinder man I've never met. He was just thrilled to be bringing his music to everyone and played to packed houses. A sad day, but he has left us his music so in truth the thrill is not gone.

Saw him at the Playboy Jazz Festival in the early 90s. It was electric, and the audience was totally captivated. His band was awesome as well. The guy playing an ancient Hammond B3 was getting sounds out of it that don't exist in nature. Very sad to lose him.
