FreeThinker
This fourteen year-old, Jacob Barnett, may be smarter than Einstein and may, someday, disprove the Theory of Relativity. Proof that those on the Autism Spectrum can become amazing people. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/11/jacob-barnett-autistic-14-year-old-nobel-prize_n_3254920.html Link to comment
Cole Parker
This certainly shows, once again, how much more the brain is capable of that the majority of us will never realize for ourselves. Not only is he cute, he's socially well-adjusted. Pretty amazing, and lucky he had the parents he did. C Link to comment
The Pecman
That is great. I've said for years that the line between genius and madness is often very blurry, and in fact, I have an autistic kid in my current novel -- one who can memorize dates and historical data like a computer. I find it incredibly frustrating that we're still so far away from understanding enough about the human brain to solve these problems. I continue to hope that someday, we'll be able to manipulate our own DNA and fix these problems from the inside out. Link to comment
