Cole does it again packing his story with excitement reminiscent of one of those old Saturday morning movies shown over and over, because they are classics.

Believe me, They Came With Guns will hold your attention straight through!

You're selling it short there my man... "They came with guns" is well past A+

It is an absolute jewel, I cannot recommend it too highly.

Okay, I give up ... it's A+ but only if you promise that's as far as the scale goes :-)

Thanks guys. Some stories almost write themselves. But then, of course, there's the tinkering. That can take longer than the story.

And wasn't James just pushing a thread on the forum about writing tense scenes? Well done, Cole, you had me on pins and needles throughout that scene. Talk about a family prepared for an emergency! It takes a lot of effort to pack that much energy into a short story but you nailed it.
