I first became aware of hoop dancing while researching one of the Native American stories some years ago and was surprised to note that the tradition crosses all tribal barriers...everyone was involved. Although most of the dancers are young men and boys, there are some great female hoop dancers as well. Still waiting to see one of these dancers on America's Got Talent, they deserve to be there and win. Link to comment
