Graeme
I've just read an article about how a bum-breathing turtle is helping to bring farmers and conservationists together. However, I still can't get past the idea of a turtle that breathes through it's bum... There are some truly weird and wonderful things in nature. Link to comment
ChrisR
Why should this be a surprise? I've met more than a few people who talk through the same orifice, so they must be breathing there too! One question though - how does it differentiate exhaling and passing gas? Link to comment

I know of one politician who speaks through his cloacal ventilator. I know that because the vocalizations he makes could only be coming from that particular orifice. Colin Link to comment
