  1. Actually, that would be the Browse button to view the list. And you will have to double click on it to open the list. As for the newly joined members spot, that may be something that was done away with by Invision. It doesn't appear on my site either.
  2. Van Williams portrayed the Green Hornet, and his handsome alter ego Britt Reid, for one single season fifty years ago. While it lasted just 26 episodes, the superhero series had a lasting impact. For starters, it introduced the world to the martial arts mastery of Bruce Lee. To this day, The Green Hornet inspires new comic book series and toys featuring the likenesses of Williams and Lee. Williams died of renal failure at the age of 82 last Monday, according to Variety. Williams was working as a diving instructor in Hawaii when he was discovered by Elizabeth Taylor's husband, producer Mike Todd, in 1957. The athletic actor was cast in Bourbon Street Beat, one of Warner Bros.' hip, exotic detective series modeled after the success of 77 Sunset Strip. In 1960, his character was carried over into Surfside 6. Six years later, William Dozier, creator of the overnight success Batman, looked to start another vigilante series with a far less campy tone. Enter The Green Hornet. Both Williams and Lee made cameos on Batman, first popping their heads out of windows before fighting the Dynamic Duo in a crossover story. The following decade, his acting career waned, and Williams became a reserve deputy sheriff and a volunteer fire fighter in Malibu. In 1982, Williams retired from acting to start a communications company. Williams is survived by his wife, three children and five grandchildren.
  3. That Star starts out as a dot and lights up when a reply has been made. After X number of posts, it changes to the Star to indicate the topic is popular. It's been around for quite awhile now. Clicking on the dot or star takes you to the last post read by you. I know some people click on the Unread Content button so they probably don't notice the dot or star.
  4. Thanks Mike, I hadn't thought of that possibility.
  5. My fault. I should have said to click on Default, the top choice. The Carbon 4 ipsfocus is also listed as default. After looking at what other skins are available for my own site, I noticed that some of those skin packages offer multiple skin options for members.
  6. Down in the lower left hand corner of any of the pages, you will see IPS Theme by IPSFocus, Theme, and Contact Us. Click on Theme. You will see two choices, one of which is the default IPS skin. Click on it and it will change. To change back, you will find Theme at the bottom of the page in the middle.
  7. Just out of curiosity, have you tried switching to the default skin to see if there's any change? As for the pop up at the bottom, that's a new one on me. I've had it pop up a couple of times in this topic. I have noticed that you get a notification if someone quotes someone else.
  8. Mike has added the Font button along with Spoiler Button. He also did some rearranging of the buttons. The Font, Size, text color button (A) are located to the right of the Source button. If that's any help. Sometimes, a skin package may relocate, or change, some of the features we all get used to. Have you tried changing to the default skin, or theme, to see if that makes any difference?
  9. Before anyone brings it up the Codey's World forums are missing, their not. It depends on which button you click. If you look at the bar at the bottom of each page, you find Home> AwesomeDude Forums> The Web Wiz> New Look at AwesomeDude Forums. If you click on AwesomeDude Forums, it takes you back to the forums page. If you click on Home, it takes you back to both Forums.
  10. Sometimes things go the way of the Dodo. Invision Power may have decided to do away with that function. They have several site owners who participate in the Beta process of testing new versions. If enough of the testers ask for something like that to be changed, I believe IPB does this with sufficient reason. I'm not sure what to suggest to you Cole. I started up the older desktop computer running on Windows 7. It displays the AD just fine. I also searched the IPS Community forums and couldn't find any information on compatibility issues between Windows 7 and Version 14.x.x.x.
  11. I'll have to check Invisions archive to see if there was any compatibility issues with other operating systems. Another thought I had was the browsers. I've used Opera, Chrome, and Firefox and they all work fine. I have Windows 10 on the desktop and the notebook is an android. I'll even try my older desktop which has Windows 7.
  12. It may depend on what device you're using. I currently am using my desktop to type this and can see everything that I've mentioned previously. I have my notebook here with me and can see everything. However, my cellphone is missing those buttons.
  13. At the top of the page, you will find an Activity button. Hover your cursor over it to reveal some options, one of which is Unread Content. This should give you the new posts that you seek. I'd also like to suggest to everyone that before you begin a new comment, or reply, that you click the Size button and change the size of the fonts before you start typing. Make it easier on yourself, and everyone else, to see what was typed. Even with my reading glasses, it's difficult to read the small print. For those of you who like to see who's online, you will no longer find the list at the bottom of the page. The Browse button at the top of the page will take you to that information. It will also take you to the Forums, Blogs, and Staff listing.
  14. Hospitals may block such sites because of the Pediatric units. The County I worked for didn't block AD or GA but they did Fort. I'm still blocked this morning. Try googling imofats. I did and after clicking on one of the links, the site opened.
  15. I have no problem getting to other sites. Recently, Using .org url, I can't reach Imofats site using Edge, Firefox, Chrome and Opera. However, using the link provided by ChrisR I could then click on the home button I was able to get to the home page. I had the same problem with a non story site. I could only get there using Firefox. After a couple of days, the site corrected the problem.
  16. Coupled with my current Internet speed, the site is moving quite fast.
  17. On another note, the Nickelodeon network ran their own elections for the kids. The day before we voted, Nick announced that Secretary Clinton had won.
  18. For awhile, one of our parents went with us until we got a little older. We were restricted as to where we could go. It was the block we lived in and the block to the south of us. Then it was only to the houses of the people we knew. I'm also down to the last story.
  19. I pretty much figure it out early that he was at an early crossroads of his life to choose from. Like Graeme, I too thought Ted was a ghost.
  20. Actually that was Cleavon Little in Blazing Saddles. Richard Pryor is listed as one of the writers.
  21. A writer died and as she floated in limbo, a disembodied voice told her she had the option of going to heaven or hell. "Can I look them both over before I make my decision?" she asked. As the writer descended into the fiery pits of hell, she saw row after row, level after level of writers chained to desks and banging away at keyboards in a steaming sweatshop atmosphere. As the writers slaved away, they were repeatedly whipped with thorny lashes. "Oh my," said the writer. "May I see heaven now?" A few moments later, after she ascended, she saw the same conditions for the writers in heaven. "Wait a minute," said the writer. "This is just as bad as hell!" "No, it's not," replied the disembodied voice. "Here, your work gets published."
  22. Trevor and Shane blazed the trail on how to get there.
  23. When I was in High School, the doors had been removed from the restrooms to make it easier for a teacher to catch someone smoking.
