  1. Wow. This story almost forced me to binge read, but I needed a few hours of sleep. Combining nicely into the Border Wolves 'universe', it was a sheer pleasure to read. As an added bonus there are deliberate loose ends (hints) to which new stories can be attached.

  2. I actually watched it a couple of years ago, but because of Camy's post I just watched it again. Really great show; choked me up pretty good. Netfix has it, but you have to spell almost the whole title in search before it shows up.

BTW, I was bullied only a few time during my school years, in part because I'd react so forcefully (violently) that nobody dared for a few years. A reminder that I wasn't a pacifist, every three or four years, resolved bullying issues for me. 😈 I found out years later that people on the autistic spectrum (like me) will sometimes react instantly and instinctively, without thoughts about consequences, and generally exponentially harder than the provocation. I never realized that at the time; I just reacted. Having discovered this rather dangerous hair trigger I will now ALWAYS turn and walk away from such a situation. I truly hope I never chance upon a case of child or animal abuse though because I doubt I could turn away.

  3. I have no idea how I managed to miss Chris' awesome stories until now, but I'm making up for lost time, with lost sleep. So far, every one of them I've read has been gripping, well researched, and a downright pleasure to read, even the carefully described nasty parts showing the evils that people can do.

  4. I enjoyed the story, and could really see a lot of my own Aspie youthfulness in it.

The very last paragraph grated a bit on me, as it's extremely unlikely that he moved forward to find other lovers in the next few years. Maybe one, eventually, after just as much effort as this first one.
