I also live in the middle of nowhere, but I need a doorbell. I don't have a dog, and my nearest neighbours are about 700 metres away. My hearing loss almost guarantees that I never hear anyone drive in. Ironically, I guess, my doorbell sounds like a dog barking :). 1 Link to comment
