Nigel Gordon
I was positive this topic existed at one time, as I am sure I posted to it, however I have been unable to find it, so maybe it got mislaid in the move over to the new server. Anyway if you are not reading this followup to Leopard Skin Cover, you should be, it is a great story and it is well told. One thing I would seriously recommend is that you follow the links at the end of Chapter 29, thanks Graeme for putting them there, they were very informative and very interesting, I just hope people follow them. Oh, almost forgot, you can find Leopard Spots here: http://awesomedude.com/graeme/leopard-spots/index.htm Quote Link to comment
Lugnutz
Can we string up Graeme for issuing cliff hangers, or is that to entice those to watch the next episode? Quote Link to comment
Nigel Gordon
Can we string up Graeme for issuing cliff hangers, or is that to entice those to watch the next episode? No, he is just copying Charles Dickens and Conan Doyle, they used to serialize their novels and left each chapter with a cliff hanger. Quote Link to comment
Graeme
Thank you! I've been trying to set this story against real-life events. Those links at the end of chapter 29 are an example. Similarly for the links at the end of chapter 13. Sometimes real-life throws up things that an author of fiction would struggle to get away with Even when sometimes those events are tragic As for cliffhangers, I hope I've been using them sparingly Quote Link to comment
colinian
Cliff hangers are a story's equivalent of highway direction signs: They points you to the direction you need to go. Colin Quote Link to comment

Lugnutz
Sounds like what Jim Henderson would sound like until he came out. Quote Link to comment
Graeme
That's what I thought, too. Quote Link to comment
dude
Wow... the story is heating up as it winds down. I found myself jumping up and cheering with every Leopards goal and I have taken a real interest in Aussie Rules competition. I wonder where I can watch AFL games... I have a VPN service with servers in Australia so I can probably get the on air channels there but not sure which network carries AFL games or their schedules. Anyway this is a great story and although it only has one more chapter... the story will go on... with -unfortunately- a gap. Loving the characters and I feel like a real insider in this story as I've been following the saga from the beginning. If you haven't started reading yet... it's not too late! Instead, I've decided to bring Leopard Spots to an end with chapter 57, and then I'll continue the next part of the story as a new story (Book 3 of the Lilydale Leopards). Unfortunately, because of those work commitments, I'm not going to be ready to start posting the new story anytime soon...but I do promise I am writing that story Quote Link to comment
