I'm scheduled to receive the book 8/24.

Even though either way would work, I think I'd go with the one that works the best in each situation.

I like this look myself. I noticed that Bunny didn't survive the trip over. But I got him back up. One of the nice features is the edit feature. You now have the option of doing a full edit or a quick edit. If you use the FULL Edit mode, it will take you back to the post screen as if you were still working on a post or reply. In Quick mode, you do the edit right here in the posted screen. I use this same version for The Talon House.

I had to dig deep to find this post since it's been well over a year for the last post. THE FINAL CHAPTER IS NOW DONE!!! I've enjoyed working on this project with all these great authors. I'm not going to list their names. I would hate to leave anyone out. Besides the authors published, there were several others who contributed in some fashion. To those of you, I wish to publiclly Thank You for your input. Since life can deal us a bad hand from time to time. The Collison Crew had its problems. We worked through them and continued on. As we know, this project was the brain child of Jamessavik. James worked with Robb (crvboy) in setting up a forum for us to use at crvboy.com. There we could discuss things concerning the story. I also made the chat room at The Talon House available for the weekly chat sessions we held to dissuss the story. I also set up a forum at The House for Polls. Sometimes, there were too many ideas to choose from, so a poll helped to narrow them down. I believe the original intent was to release 20 chapters and as the time period between chapter became longer, it was decided to start to tie up some of the loose ends and get it ready for Ryan Keith to finish up. It had been decided that since he did so good with his first chapter, we would let him do the final one. One of our funniest behind the scene moments was during chapter 2. While editting that chapter I came across the phrase, 'in hospital'. I pointed out to Graeme, that most americans don't talk like that. I got a reply back from Graeme accusing me of trying to "Americanize him." And since I had sent the editted version to the next author at the same time I sent it back to him, that author came to my rescue by reminding him that the story took place in Springfield, Anywhere, USA. Graeme apologized. Graeme, just so you know, I would never try to 'Americanize' anyone. I'd like to thank Dude for hosting us here. As well as Dewey, for setting us up with the email address for the readers, and for hosting the story as well. I'd like to encourage those that had a part in this story, and who are members here, to give their thought on their part in it. Jan

I would have to guess it would be similiar to the baseball reference. Some place for the author to warm up a story.

I allow open posting at The Talon House. In the two years The House has been open, I've only had three posts by guests that I've deleted, mainly spam. I've also banned those particular IP's after running a check on them. Two of the three came from an .ru service. What I find kinda funny about them is, that all three posts were found in the Joke Book.

The Scrolls of Icaria by Jamie, and The Angel by Josiah Jacobus-Parker are both excellent Sci/Fan stories.

Funny you should bring this up. The map is something that has been brought up in discussion at The Talon House. I set up an unofficial story discussion forum where fans could discuss this story in an open forum without revealing spoilers to new readers here. The discussion begins with book 2 and there have been some interesting things posted. Jamie assures me that he stops in periodically to see what we're upto. What Dude says about people lurking before joining is true for most sites. I get some traffic at The Talon House. The House will soon be 2 years old and there are a whopping 59 members now. 4 out or the past 5 to join have done so because of the story discussion forum I started. The main story to be discussed is TSOI. I have noticed, i have one vistitor that cames daily but has never joined or posted anything.

Poetry isn't my cup of tea. I'll scan it and if it appeals to me, I'll take the time to read it. And if I take the time to read it, then I might write to the author personally.

I think I'll give this poll suggestion a try at The Talon House with the next chapter that gets posted and maybe even in the Story Discussion section with the next chapter of TOSI. Chapter 4 got some discussion going. jan

Even Collision doesn't get that much mail. The email is set up so that all involved get it when it comes in. Most of the mail that did come, seemed to be from the same people. I do know in the case of one of the authors, the reader emailed him directly. Jan

I'll add to this mix by saying that Chapter 15 of Collision should be out soon. Chapter 16, the Final chapter is now underway.

As an editor, I normally read from a printed copy and away from the computer. I find it helps me in the editing process.

I've had an idea that I've thought about and discussed with at least one person. The idea, start a discussion forum for stories. My main thought here was to have some place to discuss The Scroll's with other readers. I've had numerous chats with people online about it. Any of the stories found here can be discussed. IT IS NOT MY INTENT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM THIS WONDERFUL SITE. Just provide a place to talk about stories with giving *Spoilers* here at Awesomedude's to new readers. You do not have to be a member to join in on the discussion. As a GUEST, you will be able to post. You will be asked for a user name that will be added to the post. I've already gotten it started by posting my email to Jamie after reading chapter 1. I've also discussed this with Jamie.
