  1. Dom's stories are a must read. I would suggest reading TOSOM when it's completed if you haven't started it. It's a roller coaster of a story. Jan
  2. What I found amazing was, that everytime I read a chapter, or two, the classic rock station I listened to out of Philly, would play one of Elton's songs. And sometimes, it was on of the songs mentioned. Jan
  3. I think Jamie will be in impressed. Jan
  4. Now that we've seen our favorite spy, Seth. And those Snakes in the Grass, Hippolito and Abbott Gude and the unholy alliance they've formed. As for the gladiator Miro, he's moved up in my list of favorite characters for some odd reason. (I wonder if it has anything to do with his nickname?) Oh, and AJ, I'll meet you in the Circle in a couple of weeks. Jan
  5. Meet The Talon, The Grip of Fear. This is a shot of the coaster going the Finale of the ride. For those of you who don't know, I'm one of those coaster nuts. Jan
  6. I usually do them seperately. If it's a story that's been around for awhile, I'll 3 chapters at once.
  7. Looks like we all have different ways of saving a story. From the webpage, I do a save as to the folder I want the story in. I open Word, then open the file. I change the format from the webpage to that of a word doc by clicking one of the buttons in the lower left hand corner. And since the font is usually white on the webpage, I change the font color. I then change the margins, add the header to include the page numbers, save it as a word doc and I'm done.
  8. Some stories, I read on the computer. Other stories I save to word, change the margins, to conserve on paper and read them. I have several stories that I keep in note books so that I can go back to them anytime. I'm on my third note book for the Scrolls.
  9. I just heard your promo and I have to agree. You do have a good, sexy voice. Now if I can catch some of the other promo's. Jan

    Chat

Being familiar with Invision Boards myself. On the home page, in the Board Stat's at the bottom, if some one is in the chat room, a header appears there showing who's there much the same way it lists who's visting the sites. If no one is in chat, the header is not shown. I'd try to demonstrate it for you, but since I'm at work at the moment and proxy does allow chats, I can't. Jan
  11. Damn! Nothing like getting hung out in the open with the last chapter of Part One. And to have ones secret exposed like that, The Hidden Talon? Jan
  12. The file is sent to the email address that you provide, in my case, Comcast. I also use Outlook Express to retrieve my mail most of the time. When I click to open the file, it opens as a webpage. I use firefox as my browser. As a test, before doing this reply, I sent what mail I had in my Inbox. Checking the Comcast account, the archived file sent was opened becoming part of the email text. OE received it as an attachment. Jan
  13. After Dude switched to this software, I archieved my messages. I sent them as hmtl and they came as an attachment. This was done on 4/14/06. Jan
  14. Welcome to AD, C.J. Note to Codey: This is one of the fun "goats" I was referring to in the other post.
  15. I'd offer to do to help you out, but now that I'm officially part of a new program elsewhere, I'm going to be a bit busy. Jan
  16. I know what you mean, Graeme. I have to stop and think about what authors I've edited something for and it's quite a list.
  17. Here's a link to the Topic at Deweywriter.
  18. The last word from Dewey was to stand by, something is in the works. I'm guessing that D has finally heard from Drake.
  19. I agree with you AJ. Getting to to read a story first is a benefit. Just this week, I was asked by one of my hosted authors why I don't post something. My answer, "It's quite simple, I'm not a writer."
  20. I've read this one and Jamie and I have had our discussion on this one. You also might find this interesting. Also, I'm posting the information about the Orbs at The House, with Jamies permission of course. If you haven't seen this information, you might find it interesting.
  21. This is how this particular author did it. Kyle was no pushover to be sure, standing at 5?11 and weighing around 160lbs, he could handle himself, he had too. Three paragraphs later; Kyle was a good looking kid, his light brown hair, blue eyes and a face that belonged in teen magazines on top of the fact that he had kept in very good shape over the years playing sports, kept more than a few eyes on him. For the protagnist he has this; Martin was a good 6 inches smaller than Kyle and was out weighed by maybe 40lbs; which is basically the only description. This is what we know about the ages. The biggest rivalry in the area wasn?t on the football field or between the baskets, it was in the 10th grade class.
  22. I just finished editing a story in which the author was concerned about descriptions. In one paragraph, he gave the height and weight of a character which was appropriate to what was going on at that point. Later on, in another paragraph, he describes the bully of the story. When it was appropriate, he gave more of a description of the main character like hair and eye color. The only indication to age was 10th grade was mentioned. Jan
  23. Another option that we have is, at the bottom of the page, in the lower right hand corner, you'll find a series of drop down menu's. These will help you find older topic also.
