I should say! 👹 Now all I have to do is write it. 🤯

Dear lord, not cleaning the green room! 🤬 Two days ago I woke up in the middle of the night with a complete story idea. Typically, I didn't write it down, and in the morning, like smoke, it had disappeared. Which leaves two ideas remaining. The first would be better as a novella; the other - the 3rd part of 'Halloween' - is what I'm going for. Fair warning: it might well get gratuitously bloody.

I've got an idea... forming in my brain....

When I stumbled out of bed, after watching the new Netflix/Amazon/PBS drama 'The Presidential Debate' last night, I had every intention of reading 'The Boy On The Plane' from cover to cover. Then I discovered the canny chap had snuck in (or out) a new short story: 'Moody.' 'Wowsa!' said I, and the cat agreed (she mostly does but only if she wants snacks). Moody is... well, it's... Oh! It's good, obviously. But it's more than that. It's an entire novel wrapped up as a short story. In all his writing Cole delights readers with well drawn protagonists, but with Moody he's gone further. Read it, and you'll be able to tease out the structure of a longer work (not to mention the possibility of a film script). Moody has a definite five beaks up from this bird.

Hmm... how to kindly sign up? Gruffly I have nary a problem with; and sarcastically, sexily, stiffly, erotically, gloriously I think I can manage. When in doubt, scream and shout, though it's best to ask advice. Anyone?

FYI Yarborough is Uppinham. Lindybeige's video was a tad tongue in cheek. Yes, you are somewhat regimented - after all, the school is in loco parentis - and in this day and age heaven forbid if something should happen to a student. You have classes to attend, and your house will have roll calls (or they did while I was there. Now it's probably an app), and eating is always a good thing. That said, there is a lot of time available in which to get up to all sorts of mischief!

For those who read and write boarding school stories, this is a good example. Or watch 'If.' a film by Lindsey Anderson.

Yeah It's probably a new 'thing' with the recent update. I do like the ability to quote just a bit of a post with 'quote selection.'
