I was aiming for a Flash Fiction, but ended up with something more like a poem.

Jack Off

By Trab, 2008

Jack on. Jack off. Jack on.

Loose nuts.

Spent rubber.

Endless memories of roads traveled,

Adventures experienced, and, always,

Home.

Jack off. Jack on. Jack off.

New rim. New rubber.

Tight nuts.

Endless anticipation of roads to travel,

New adventure, and, always,

Home.

Jack on. Jack off. Jack on.

Roads rough. Roads smooth.

Soaring heights. Deep depressions.

Punctures. Tracks. Sleepless nights.

Hopes. Fears. And, always,

Sweet home.

Fantastic!

You don't write poetry (?)

I don't like poetry (?)

But you wrote it and I read it and I love it.

It's fully of symbolism, imagery, allusion - you really mastered the art.

I read it again, and again, and again, as you do with all the best poetry. It reads and has meaning on multiple levels. So clever, kudos to Trab!

I demand you get rid of the disclaimer.

Maddy (:

You can steer me in any direction you wish; turn me off, or rev me up. :icon_geek::lol: Your wish, sir, is my command.

As far as I know, the poetry section of the forums is only for discussion. I believe Flash Fiction and the Bull Pen are the only two places you actually post works within the forum.

Who on earth told you that?

I post most of my 'poetry' in there.
