synystraal
Hello all, I've been looking for a story I first read several years ago... a boy befriends a newcomer at school (most likely junior high) who (due to some traumatic event) can only communicate through song lyrics. As I recall, this problem is fully resolved by story's end. Any help in identifying this story is much appreciated. Synystraal Quote Link to comment

Cole Parker
What do they call that? Lyricitis? Hammerstein Syndrome? Hart disease? Perhaps I should read the story to find out. C Quote Link to comment
Lugnutz
You haven't read it?!? WTF? I thought that was required reading to get your gay card. Quote Link to comment
Cole Parker
Do you know how many stories there are out there to read? I haven't even read everything on the Best of Nifty list. You know, if you'd spend more time writing, Lug, you'd have less time to read, like the rest of us! C Quote Link to comment
Guest Dabeagle
The condition is called Aphasia, something I found out about after I started to write the story. It was originally intended as a short story, and it could really use a rewrite. But I still think it's the most original idea I ever had. Quote Link to comment
Graeme
I've been thinking I should re-read that story, and now I think I will. After the Halloween collection, of course Quote Link to comment
