  1. And besides all the reasons Ben mentioned that people edit he left out the most important one. They get to read the stories first! I'd like to add my thanks to Ben for editing for me and to Graeme, the mail crew guys and Rick for beta reading for me. Last but not least, my thanks to everyone who reads my poems and prose. Most of us would write whether we had readers or not but it sure is nice to know people are reading what we write. OPPS big time. This is really the last snd by far not the least. Thanks to TR and the Dude for hosting my poems and stories. If it weren't for people like them who put a lot of effort and time into furnishing us a place to post our works, no one would be able to read them. (Also they get to be the second people to read the stories) Codey
  2. As I see it, it would not be possible to be ahead by one game after four are played. The only possible scores are; 4/0, 3/1, 2/2,1/3, 0/4. If you were talking about points per game then you would have to award different points for each game. The only way I can see that would allow a one point advantage after four games is if Game 1=1 point, game 2=2 points, game three = 4 points and game 4= 8 points. I f you double the ponits awarded per game, one person could win the first three, ending up with 7 points. The second person could win the fourth game for 8 points and then be ahead by one point after four games. Codey
  3. I happen to know some very fine non-nerds that have telescopes. LMAO Codey
  4. Tragic Rabbit wrote: Guys, cut it out, God might be listening. I'd MUCH rather have a puppy (border collie, mini-dacshund, chihuahua) than a man for Xmas. In this case, it's just a poem. Well- the puppy would be cheaper and if he humps your best friends leg, you could have him neutered. The puppy or the best friend? :-k Codey
  5. LMAO!!!!! Could it be the beer bottle causing the bf problems? :-k Codey
  6. I don't get it. :angel13: Codey

This story was posted while I was offline for a while and I found it the other day trying to get caught up on my reading. It's agreat story and very moving. I absolutely loved it! Codey
  9. Great story as usual TR. Makes me want to take chemistry class at your school. :D Codey
  10. Those pic's are really good. everyone should go look at them. They look like the ones in the fancy photo books. Codey
  11. WOW, that's great and powerful stuff! Codey
  12. If they're dumb enough to let you dispatch again, how about sending a wide screen tv my way? LMAO Codey
  13. Posted: Wed Nov 23, 2005 3:28 pm Post subject: Gravity In Gardens I'm not sure whether this post should be in the poetry section or here. It's a great piece and could go in either forum. It's like poetry and some of your other stories, I can't just read and enjoy but have to think too. I love the stimulation your writing gives me. Codey Sorry I used the wrong thread.
  14. This was a hard read mostly because I know and admire Gabe so much. When my friends hurt, I hurt. It's one of the bravest pieces of writing I've ever seen. The High Desert is a good place to regroup and refresh, a little photography and a lttle writing and an even stronger warrior will emerge. Great job Gabe. Codey
  15. I've finally recovered from the shock of reading part one and out pops part two. I had no idea I was associating with such people. Shocking...truley shocking. LMAO Loved it TR. ps: A certain unnamed cowboy says that better be him under those blankets with me or he's getting out his elephant gun and going rabbit hunting! Lmao Codey
  16. OK, I'm lost. Why is it an insult to Naiilo when all of us (with the exception of our Glorious Leader, who caught it) perpetuated the mis-spelling? I know I'm kind of dense these days and easily confused so will someone give me a clue? And hurry, the suspense is still killing me! LMAO >note corrected spelling :-D < Codey
  17. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by writebymyself: Q: How do you keep a turkey in suspence? A: I'll tell you tomorrow. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh come on...tell us now please. The suspence is killing me! Codey
  18. TR rarely has anything in his stories that are what they seem. It was obvious to the readers what was being hunted but the story was written from the boys perspective and it was clear from his reaction that he didn't know what was being hunted until he saw the other boy. It was written just right. Codey
  19. This is my answer to people who flame me from now on. If they're smart enough to get the message then maybe I'll talk to them. I'd be willing to bet , tho, that most of the flame throwers and trolls aren't intelligent enough to pronounce piss, let alone figure out what I mean. (they probably think it's a breakfast drink) Don't let a few flame throwers and trolls get to you TR. Look at the number of people that read your work. None of us get much praise but we are being read. I figure as long as I know people are reading and even tho they don't say they like it, coming back to read more, then they don't hate it. Codey
  20. Great job ele, but I will admit to feeling a loss. Along with Graemes FCL this is a story I hate to see end. Hurry with the new story to repair my sense of loss. :-D Codey
  21. I can't understand not liking this story. Not just for the skill you've shown but also for the message. It's a message that needs to be given and if it makes us uncomfortable and then to think, then it's done it's job in the way it was intended. Not hearing or reading about these things can make it all that much easier to turn our heads and allow them to happen again. Awesome doesn't work for you anymore TR. Amazing is the word that comes to mind now. Codey
  22. I really enjoyed this story Codey
  23. I had trouble sleeping last night and decided to catch up on some reading. Go to my blog to read what I think of these stories and thier authors. http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=codeyspen Codey
  24. Dave :smt089 you left out the poets! Just kidding and yes you're right. I think awesomedude has the most talented bunch of writers on the net. Oh and long posts and TR? He could care less how long they are as long as you say his name in every other paragraph. :-D Codey
