Thanks everyone. A few years ago, I was dared into writing having never written anything before, ever. Chapter 1 of Mech 101 is my first ever effort at writing. The three prequel chapters were writtin after the initial 10 chapters of 101 were done, I felt my guys needed to tell their story from before they met. The story picks up technical wise in the next couple prequel chapters, and some in the regular story. I don't get too into the mechanics of things, but what is there is explained. The initial 10 chapters are being re-written as we speak to flow with the current chapters. Then, there is book 2 which I'm 4 chapters into. So, there is alot to post along with trying to write the current stuff. Let me know what you think of the story, feedback is writing fuel. Flames will be laughed at and posted.

I actually started writing because of Deweys chatroom. Me and The Carolina Scribbler were having one of our usual 4 hour bull sessions, and he told me I should write. I told him "Anything I write would look like a service manual". He fed me a one sentance setup, I called him a a$$ho' and wrote a page then, let him look at it there and then he said "I told ya so!" and I kept writing. The results are chapter one of "Mechanics 101" That dosen't mean a chatroom would work here. Timing is one thing. How long before the lovelty wore off is another.

I was wondering what the general concencus was here regarding a chatroom. I remember the days a few years ago when Dewey's was the place to be to chat. It was a tight family type of chat, not a flop house. Anything was discussed, dirty jokes were told and the bar was always open. There is still a chatroom there, but a different version I'm not really fond of, and it don't get used much anymore. From what I was told by the headmaster, there is the space for one here, but is there call for it, will it get used. Post your reasons why we should/shouldn't have one. I was feeling nostalgic and felt like asking. You?

I had one guy ask about sex, told him ain't gonna happen. I'm not gonna peek in on them to make the story. I might allude to it, but I don't get into it. Like Wibby, I write what I know or what I've done. Many things in my story actually happened, just gave it a lil twist to fit in the story. I won't write sex scenes because: 1, I'm no good at it. 2, Sex is a small part of a relationship, I'll write about what's in their head and heart. 3, no frame of reference. That is all.

My sentiments exactly. It's difficult for me to even think about, it hurts and I never even met him. If the worst does happen, you will know he left his mark in this world and he will live on.

+1 In my story I might hint at steamy stuff, but I don't write about it. Not my style, that and it wouldn't sound right coming from me. Besides, my niece reads it.
