  1. I'm not getting the usual email at my yahoo account. I use it for mail that I don't want sent to my regular email The inbox still works, I sent myself an email and it was delivered. I still get loads of spam in the spam folder.
  2. As one of his beta readers, I have nothing new to report.
  3. Firefox appears to be okay, I checked a few chapters. I also checked my Nook HD which uses Chrome and found no problem. I checked the nook as there was no mention as to what he was using, a desktop, laptop, or other device.
  4. Recently, I watched an episode of Ask This Old House where they dealt with this type issue.Vinyl side was melting on the side of a house. The solution was to velcro a screen to the window, so that it window could be opened and removed for cleaning.
  5. To me, it says a lot about a site that consistently has authors that are nominated and win awards from another site. Over the past few years, the Best Non-GA Story has gone to an Awesomedude author. Freethinker was also nominated for the same category.
  6. As I told James, it wasn't the ending that I was expecting.
  7. For my area, 35 miles northwest of Philly, it will most likely be a very wet and windy Noreaster, no snow. Wildwood, NJ is expecting to get hammered. During the summer, a lot of the beach's got washed away a few miles down along the shore. They were going to start bringing that sand back this week. Throw in a full moon, which means high tides, and they are looking at some major flooding issues. Recently I was watching a program on The Weather Channel and starting with this winter, they are going to start naming the major winter storms. I don't recall what the four things they will be looking at to name the storm. Most likely, a storm won't get the name until after its hit.
  8. Jamie is still alive and well. He's been busy and does find some time to write. I'd gotten a reply to an email I sent yesterday on an update to him.
  9. Everyone handles things differently. Maybe the years I spent working in a hospital helped me handle emergency situations. I can understand how you felt. Back in the early 80's, I witnessed my boyfriend kill himself using my handgun. The scary part was, I was in one part of the house watching TV when there was a gunshot in another part. I went to see what was going on. When I got the the archway between rooms, I could see him silhouetted in the doorway of the bedroom, with gun in hand. I was trapped in the house. Not knowing what was going on, I would have been exposing myself to try to get to the front door which was locked. I shouted at him several time to put the gun down so I could come to him. I peaked around the corner in time to see him raise the gun to his chest and fire. This happened the day after Thanksgiving. My worst time of the whole ordeal was getting thru Christmas that year. The closer Christmas got, the more I hated it.
  10. That's the standard default icon for the software. Once something is choosen, that avatar appears.
  11. You're not the only one. I too will gloss over the graphic sex scene in a story. As reader I can do that. As an editor and beta reader I can't do that. Most of the authors I edit for usually don't include sex unless it's a new writer I'm working with. Those that have included sex usually make it clear something happened and not what happened. It's the same for the authors that I beta read for. As a reader I tend to go more for the plot and characters of the story. Unlike some readers, I don't complain about the lack of sex in the story.
  12. I too have had my email hacked. My biggest clue was all the undeliverable messages I had.
  13. I have heard from Jamie. He is still around. There a few issues that come into play. One of which is his email got hacked, not once but twice. He's given up on that hotmail account. So for now, there is no way for the reader to get in touch with him. He has done some writing and hopes to do more.
  14. This is my current ride. Picked it two years ago this month. It's a 2011 Mustang, Kona Blue in color. I'm also the type who likes to give the car a name. See if you can figure out the name with these clues. The name comes from a story posted here. You can't see them in this shot, but the seat covers on the front seats have silver dragons on them. The author of the story also rode in the car in August 2010.
  15. The diet drinks have come a long way from their early days. They no longer have that after taste.

Personally, I'm not too fond at looking at someone with a lot of body hair. It does nothing for me. Being a diabetic and a pump user, I have to shave a small section every time I have to change the location of the inset. I found out the hard way first learning how to use the pump that if I don't shave a spot, it's like taking off a bandaid, it pulls the hair out. I think the adhesive on the inset is hospital grade, made to stay on.
  17. Rugar is coming out with a new pistol in honor of members of the United States Senate and the House of Representatives. It will be named "Congressman." It doesn't work and you can't fire it.
  18. I have a shirt I bought years ago after the opening of a Roller Coaster. Get In Sit Down Shut Up And Hang On. I also receive a shirt for Christmas one year. Dick's Pump & Co. Fill'er up and hit the road. ASK ABOUT OUT LUBE JOB SPECIAL!
  19. I've not heard anything from him either. The last time I heard anything from Jamie was when I sent the first chapter of Part 4 back to him. Still waiting on Interlude Gold to finish off that Interlude.
  20. The winners have been announced. You can see the announcement here.
