  1. I was watching a rerun of America's Funniest Video's last night and they ran a clip on feeding animal. The longest clip was of a woman feeding Wibby on her back patio. She ended up feeding Wibby and 24 of his friends and family.
  2. We've still got a ways to in Book 2. Currently we're getting Jamie's back story and we still have to learn about Nic's past.
  3. I'm enjoying this ride very much. I sometimes like to speculate with the author. And yes, Wibby, I did smile at your reply.
  4. I've gotten into a discussion at another site to try and prevent a flame war. And I'm curious as to what you think in this situation. Let's say an author has his/her own site for his/her stories. The author provides no means of contacting him/her. Because of this, should readers start discussion topics at sites (like AD) so they can discuss the authors work? Jan
  5. According to Myr, when we chatted last night. An electrical issue at Invision Power Board, fried the server that GA is on. It occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening. I also observed problems with other Invision sites. All weekend long, it would take AD along time to do anything for me. Yesterday evening it finally got to the point that AD and The Talon House would time out and Deweywriter would give me a 404 error. So far this morning, no problems.
  6. You might think of some Nursing Homes also. We have TV Rooms on each of the units where I work and the Activities department does show movies as an activity.
  7. Don't sweat it Gabe. When most people see the name Jan, they think she and not he.

    Zombie

It didn't take much to wrestle it away from him, Rose. I've got it and I'm about ready to hand it back to him. I've gone thru it with my editors pen and read thru it in stages. Now I want to read thru all 67 pages uninterrupted. It's an interesting story. I've never seen zombie's portrayed quite like this. I'll shut up now. I don't want to spoil anything. Jan
  9. By regular, I did mean the people who frequently visit and post. And the person I was referring to is Graeme.
  10. I think you'll find that most of the people here at AwesomeDude are writers and editors. And there's still one of the regulars you haven't heard from yet.
  11. Welcome to the zoo, otherwise known as Awesomedude, Rose. There's quite an assortment of animals around here. One word of advice, don't leave your shoe's laying about. You might end up with a surprise in them, courtesy our resident raccoon. There's also a goat lurking around here somewhere.
  12. I get nothing but spam in my House email account. Which brings me to another point. Comcast won't allow me to receive any email notifications from The Talon House or from my house mail. I've had to switch to my yahoo address to receive notification. I've sent Comcast support a ticket to have this changed. Spam was the reason that we had to change the email address for 'Collision'. Spammers were hitting us hard. Jan
  13. UPDATE In case you've been wondering, T.S.O.I. is not dead. According to Jamie, chapter 23 has gone thru the first edit. Jamie is continuing to write and is working on future chapters. He plans to get several chapters done before resuming his posting schedule. Jamie will be finishing school in May. He may also stay and teach in the first summer session before he returns home. Now for a bit of a challenge. In book 1, he is mentioned a few times. Then in book 2 he resurfaces. Who is Jonas? Jan
  14. His parents may have beer reacting out of shock at his death. Phil, my boyfriend back in the early 80's committed suicide. I called his mother as soon as I could that same evening. Believe me when I say she was very nasty to me over the phone and blamed me. The day of the funeral, she approached me and apologized for her reactions. I don't think she should tell them. They aren't going to believe her and will most likely think she is trying to get back at them.
  15. Message From Pet Owners * When I say move, it means go someplace else, not switch positions with each other so there are still two of you in the way. * The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note: Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest. * The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me does not help, because I fall faster than you can run. * I cannot buy anything larger than a king size bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Look at videos of dogs and cats sleeping, they can actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing but sarcasm. * For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. In addition, I have been using bathrooms for years - canine or feline attendance is not mandatory. * My compact discs are not miniature Frisbees. * The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's rear (I cannot stress this enough).
  16. I'm not sure what I'd choose. But that list of choices reminds me of a story that I edit, 'Dark Earth: The Prophecy' by tlwritingtiger.
  17. Back when I worked in Surgery, the patient was asked several times their name and it was checked against the id bracelet they wore. They were also asked to verify the surgery they were scheduled for.
  18. I've broken too many mirrors doing that so I had to give it up.
  19. I'm surprised I didn't get the next chapter. He usually gets them to me on the weekend.
  20. I change the clocks that matter, alarm clocks, watch, Mantle clock, and the car radio. The electronics take care of themselves.
  21. At least your still around and plan on it. I got word today from one of the authors that I work with is stepping down. He's neglected too many other things. And before anyone asks, NO, it's not anyone I work with here at AD.
  22. They are definitely a good group. Years ago, when I was in a bad mood, I listen to Crisis? What Crisis? It would pick me up.
  23. Welcome to AD, Tiger. Be sure to check out Tiger Tales. Tiger has a nice Sci-Fi story going, Dark Earth: The Prophecy. Jan
  24. I'd like to add that Codey's, 'From The Heart' has been nominated for Best Non-GA Story in the 2007 Readers Choice Awards. Graeme and Elecivil received nominations also and voting has begun.
