  1. There is a candle burning over here... Wish you all the best. Oliver
  2. Yes! But..... ...no time to read now. *copy-paste-laptop* Tomorrow, after driving to the French Alpes, it will be one of the first things I will read.
  3. It is indeed wonderful. Nick is so fragile, but curious enough to go on. Putting the tension down with some humour, it makes a sweet couple. Well done!
  4. Thanks! it would be "gezondheid" in dutch. But german is ok with me....
  5. To everyone here at AD; Gelukkig nieuwjaar! Oliver Same weather here in The Netherlands, Camy. But we've got extra rain....
  6. Dear all, For more than a year I've lost track of Ardveche, one of my favorite writers. My first story of him was a translation in Duch of New to this state, but afterwards I read a lot more. It seems that his site (www.ardveche.co.uk) has gone, as was ardveche.com before that. He started a new story, Snow Days, but after the first chapter I lost him. Last september I found a new posting of that first chapter on Nifty, but it stayed quiet after that. No reaction on e-mail... nothing. Does anybody here knows where to find him again? Thanks in advance, Oliver
  7. ...and that's why I write in Dutch and not in English. Thanks, Des. Envy it is. But, please, tell me more about Brad and Tom. I'm afraid that greedy would be the word now.......
  8. New chapter! Thank you, thank you. Loving the sense of humor you always use. It is kind the way I try to live; laugh and learn. The way you give everybody their own kind of caracter is, in my opinion, great. Nothing is over the top. How you describe the feelings, the way they deal with it, it is just.... ....real. Excellent job. I must admit, I'm jealous. I always try to write at this kind of level, and I am getting good reviews and reactions. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Your work looks like it is just easy to do. I know, I've seen your writing, not seen you write. But still..... ....yup, definitely jealous.
  9. Defenitely well done! I can't wait to read the next chapters. Like said, nothing over the top, like you can just step in and stand in the middle of it. And that's exactly what I am doing when I am reading it. When this is a debut novel, I am curious what is going to flow out of his pen in the future!
  10. Part 7! Yes! And beautifull as the other chapters. With some nice lessons of life. Lessons we all know, but find hard to think about in that kind of situations. Already waiting for chapter 8, but take your time..... Big " " from the NL. Oliver
  11. Thank you, thank you. Ehrrrm, thanx!!
  12. Another agree from The Netherlands here. The stories I found by recommendations in this forum.... Just don't stop. It is a well used extra on the AD.com site. I'm sure I would miss it! Eliminate problems in a forum, but not by eliminating the forum itself. Love and wisdom, Oliver
  13. Most of the time i use te receipt i get when i buy the book. Years later i can still remember when i read it. I worked for several years in a public library and you don't want to know what we found in books as a bookmark. Just some items; money (banknotes of 100 gulden, that is about 50 dollar), cottonsticks (and they were used), personal photo's in different catagories and several times we found blisterpacks of anticonception pills. Yep, always read before you go to sleep and you never forget.......
