Nigel Gordon
I love this story, the way the scene is set up, the way it is told and the ending are all pure Cole. I always like his writing but in my opinion he is at his best in his short stories and this is one of the best he has written. Link to comment
Camy
Beautifully written, Cole. Sincerely. Its reminiscent of Jeffrey Archer's short fiction - by which I mean it's really good. And such a sweet ending, too! Link to comment
Bruin Fisher
Lovely story, Cole. A very nicely crafted short, with a wonderfully satisfying story arc. Classic Cole! Link to comment

vwl
In the course of editing, I had to figure out how much three fingers of Macallan 86 was worth, so I searched for a bottle price on the internet. Three fingers would be worth about $4,000. Link to comment

Camy
Does it not depend on the size of the fingers? Link to comment
Cole Parker
I see your point. Only go drinking with people with large hands when ordering whiskey. I always learn so much from you Brits. C Link to comment
Camy
Yowsa! Maybe you picked the wrong Macallan, Cole. Three fingers of this one would buy you a new car! Link to comment
Gee Whillickers
I had to laugh at your notes about your editor's reactions to this story. Not quite the usual Cole Parker story we see here, but every bit as enjoyable. Well done. Link to comment
Cole Parker
Thanks, everyone! I think we all enjoy humor more than drama at this point in our history. C Link to comment
