  1. Don’t fail to read “Inside Information” by Altimexis. Here is a timely story about how present-day exposure to the dirty tricks of a certain president’s captive federal agencies could lead to the ruin of two families. It will make your blood run cold. https://awesomedude.com/altimexis/NYCStories/NYCStories06-InsideInformation.html
  2. What with changes and reforms to the calendar, those dates are probably wrong anyway.
  3. It brought a smile for me,too, Bruin. But then again, I think anyone who wears a pointy cap is hilarious.
  4. In case you haven't been checking, Driver has gifted us with two new chapters to "Jack In the Box" for Christmas, and promises more very soon. http://www.storiesbydriver.net/
  5. So what shall we call skinflints now?
  6. Perhaps teens dislike history because they live in the present moment, where the challenges and events that affect them personally appear to be so important that nothing that happened in the past to other people, all dead now, seems worth attending to.
  7. You're right, James. My bad. Many of us are here to escape political rant and judgemental opinion.
  8. Most of us are already on his shit list. Just don't let his bully boys and enforcers find out.

    Miserable me.

Sending supportive thoughts your way as strongly as I can. And for B as well. James
  10. A very interesting twist on a deeply serious subject. I'd look forward to more, James, if the spirit moves you.
  11. There is still magic in the world.

Yes, a delightful tale. Just when I thought all the ideas for bringing people together had been exhausted! I thoroughly enjoy Giustinian’s touch with dialogue, seemingly natural exchanges going on for line after line without the need for tagging. Thanks for the link. Your finds are always worth following up.

    Where can I find it?
  14. I believe Timmy, at IOMfAtS had him first. http://iomfats.org/storyshelf/hosted/arram/
  15. Totally agree. Bit of a challenge to categorize, however.
  16. Sorry for the confusion, Talo. I simply meant that I will read any new story written by writers I have developed confidence in, based on past reading experience. That usually keeps me busy, but if I'm at loose ends and looking for a new author, I tend to go by context; i.e., I browse the sites I trust. I'm not shy about starting a story and quitting it if I find it isn't to my taste. But I don't read for genre. Instead I read for a writer's style, insight, respect for his characters.
  17. I tend to follow authors, not genre. Most writers I like work from a pretty broad palette.
  18. How 'Stranger Danger' got its start.
  19. I'll second that suggestion of Camy's. "Trader Tales" kept me going many a dark evening during my drive-time from classroom to home. Made me almost regret retiring.
  20. Hallowe'en is not limited to Terra. Brrr.

  23. Bite your tongue, Cole!!
  24. Looks like a useful guide. Without reading it in depth, the session topics appear to be solid advice. What seems to be missing, Camy, is any support for a Pantser approach...
