    Hunger

I really, really like this, Maddy! It reads wonderfully. Did you mean Anamorphic rather than amorphic? Cheers, Camy
  2. Originally I answered No. But the question's been rattling around and around in my head, gnawing at me, and it's getting annoying. In hindsight, the truth is probably yes. There are a couple of scenes I've written that bring a tear of two. Camy
  3. I answered no, though I have no idea of your parentage.

    Catatonia

The fact that it looks like a tree is neither here nor there - though it's easier to get to grips with without its ... erm ... treeness And I think it is elegiac - as in expressing sorrow often for something past. I've no idea about its length or meter. furthermore, I'm still pondering it! Camy

    Catatonia

It's a tree! Actually it seems very elegiac, but as your poetry takes time to know, I'm not entirely sure. I'm also not sure that the visual aspect helps. Camy
  6. Codey and Tim, our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Be strong, guys. All the best, Camy and Mick
  7. Croquet is so much more civilised, don't you think? What! Pip pip.
  8. The Hub's First Official Mini-Anthology has just been released. The theme of this anthology is "Fear", and as such all of the stories are either Horror/Occult or Dark Drama. There are eight tales, all under 2,500 words. It's well worth checking out. http://hub-writing.org/anthologies/MA01/ Camy

    Knee

We have 'bitter' in the UK. It's beer. Much recommended for terminating failing livers, and keeping the population down ... or is that meths?Knee much better, thanks to all for the suggestions. :)

    Knee

Thanks, Des, though I'm almost better today. Well, physically anyway. Mentally I'm still howling at the injustice of sneaky door frames.I'd never heard of 'Swedish Bitters' before. It seems the inventor lived to 104 and died falling off a horse ... which means if you avoid horses you'll probably live forever. It sounds like a plan!

    Mac - Leopard

For those of you who have nice cute mac's (and don't loiter in parks) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7048463.stm

    Knee

Two days ago I came thundering down the stairs and wacked my knee into a stupid door frame. Yes, I know. Since I live here, I should know there's a door frame at the bottom of the stairs, but hell .... Anyway, it still hurts ... in fact it still ^&$$()_$%!!! HURTS! So I've had words, and whilst the door frame won't apologise, it said if I'm careful, it'll try to stay out of my way. Yeah right.

Sadly the grapes have all been picked. We finished with a rather good little Chardonnay. *belch*C
  17. We can't all like the same things. Whilst I would agree that, like 'Gone From Daylight', 'Savage Moon' is overly long, and the narrative does meander. I'm reading it as if it were a first draft that will eventually be edited down to a cracking good read. Not that this is likely to happen. It would also make a great film. Camy
  18. I agree that it's worthy of BON. Have you read his other on-going horror story, 'Gone From Daylight'? This is overly long, too: and still incomplete. Nonetheless, it's well worth reading.

    Iraq

I've been pondering whether I should turn 'Iraq' into a song, or a sound-scape piece. And though I still haven't decided, I've been doing some 'research' for sound effects, noises, etc. To cut a long story short, I came upon this piece in the 'Internet Archive'. I beg you to listen to at least the first hour of it. It's so poignant, and interesting too. You can stream it direct from the page, or download it, if you want. http://www.archive.org/details/NightRide-V57-Resistance Camy - If I ever got the chance to work on a program like this, I'd be a happy chap.

Arriving home after a long, and very hard days manual labour, is ... just peachy. I can go to bed - or stay up and veg out with the TV brain death machine. Tomorrow, I can throw the alarm clock out of the window without feeling guilty. In fact I'm free ... for almost two days ... FREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Until Monday. Damn Monday.
  22. My muse adores solitude. Here's hoping you have a great time.Be good ... and if you can't be good, be careful. CamyPS can't wait to read the result ... oh yeah, how's your microphone technique coming along? - Bwahaha!
  23. A fascinating thread! Agreed ... but you can have an infinite number of them. Hasn't quantum physics pretty much proved the multi-verse theory?

Pay? PAY? You think I'm PAYING for this ... this ... purgatory. Daft and balmy I may be, but not quite that daft and balmy. Pinot Noir grows quite happily in Kent.Yours, still knackered,Camy
