That was NOT what I meant! It was more that .... Never mind. I'll end up tying myself in knots ... no, no no. I didn't mean that either.Sheesh!
  2. Thank you all. Sincerely. The poetry I write that is the best happens almost without thought, and very fast, too. I guess that's why I believe I have an actual real live muse ... because it's not me.I read your comments, Des, then re-read them. If I were to meet you at a party, I'd stand there stroking my non existent whispy goatee, nodding sagely."Yes, well of course a Koan was my original intent," I'd say, then pretend to see a familiar face on the other side of the room and leg it. Of course I'd come back later - I'm not rude! You see, had I tried for 'form' of any description, I'd still be writing. When Kitty (my ever patient editor) starts talking grammar, my eyes glaze over and I see bunny rabbits gambolling in daisy filled fields. But thanks anyway. It's nice to know I nearly wrote a Koan. Camy  Btw, my favourite poem in this vein is by Stevie Smith, entitled 'Not Waving But Drowning'.Nobody heard him, the dead man,But still he lay moaning:I was much further out than you thoughtAnd not waving but drowning.Poor chap, he always loved larkingAnd now he's deadIt must have been too cold for him his heart gave way,They said.Oh, no no no, it was too cold always(Still the dead one lay moaning)I was much too far out all my lifeAnd not waving but drowning.

  3. Now I know I'm in trouble. I expect to not know what EleCivil is talking about when he's describing concert behavior and the music. But when Camy's post is just as confusing, I know I'm over the hill.C
No, no, no, Cole! Fear not. I was being enigmatic. Or trying to be, anyway. It's all between the lines. :icon1: Camy
  4. Hey Camy,For some reason, I just noticed a picture on your site. If its been there the whole time I'm sorry for not noticing. Is that you?If so, you look nothing like I pictured you. Emu coments aside, I had a much different picture in my mind.Jason R.
Pretend it's me. So ... erm ... for the sake of interest, what did you think I looked like?Camy
  5. The Tube is lovely for people watching, but I much prefer Hyde Park* or the Tate Modern. There's just so much more to marvel at.* Down by the serpentine especially.
Both work, though different experiences. The Serpentine being akin to a walk on part in 'Death in Venice' whereas the tube is more like a nightclub ... erm ... with lights.I didn't see (or hear) Nicky.
I was about to say something when I realized I didn't know anything of what you were talking about. Oh well, maybe next time. Hehe.
    Me neither.
  6. Jason,Your blog title is apposite. I know 'you' not at all, yet I seem to know 'you' far too well. It worries me.

A part of me hopes he does care, but another part, the biggest part, knows he can't.
Of course he cares (how the hell would I know). He might be married, he might have a daughter, and they might be the most important part of his life at present, but I'll bet he's spent a lot of time thinking about you. About the part of his life he couldn't handle.Camy
  7. Mating season? In Winter?Oh... you're one of those emus. :inquisitive:
Yep! Definitely one of those EmusAnyway, 'tis summer here
    The worst kind: emigre? emu
Emigre? Moi? Non! Non, non, non. Emus first went to Australia with the early convict ships. They were itinerant sailors. It's a little known fact that Coleridge got it wrong when he said - in the 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner' - that an Albatross was shot. It was an Emu. A relation of mine from way back. So there you have it. Emus are noble English birds.
  8. Hmm. :spank::ohmy::lol: One of those Raccoons. Each to their own. Pointless to tell you quite where to put your pliers as you'd obviously enjoy it! :icon6: Actually *preens* my feathers are at their best during June - mating season don't you know.   hopefully...

  9. growing up in a country where manual labor are CHEAP :icon11: I never grew accostomed doing the painting myself.......always the splatters or f paint, the removal of furnitures, the cleaning up afterwards........hate painting :shame:
I hate painting too, though that's probably obvious.I had an idea for an easy way to decorate. The 'explosive paint tub'. You mask off everything you don't want painted - windows, doors etc, then light the touchpaper and retire for a snack. After a small explosion, you find the room is perfectly painted... Hmmm. Possibly not. :icon_geek:
